3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Romans 12:3 (KJV)
At the time you became born again God gave you the measure of faith and that measure of faith is a seed. What have you done with that seed?
You may have gotten born again at the same time as a particular sister. Now it seems she is bubbling over with faith and experiencing victory in her life. Is this because God loves her more than He loves you? We have seen that God has given to every man who is born again the measure of faith. Each of us started out life as a Christian with the same quantity, or measure of faith. God is not partial. God is not a respecter of persons.
If you look through the Bible you will find descriptions like “little faith,” “great faith,” “weak faith,” “strong faith,” “exceedingly growing faith,” and “no faith” (Matthew 6:30; 8:10;
Romans 4:19, 20; 2 Thessalonians 1:3; Mark 4:40). These descriptions tell you that there are different levels of faith, but every believer got the same seed at the new birth.
The point here is this: supernatural faith is the way of life for the believer – it is the exclusive preserve of the believer. Hallelujah! The unbeliever cannot live by faith.
Remember “…the just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17). So if the just shall live by faith, every child of God shall live by faith. If a person’s faith is weak, he will live with his weak faith. If another per- son’s faith is great, he will live with his great faith. If yet another person’s faith is exceedingly growing, he will live with his exceedingly growing faith. Therefore, “the just shall live by faith,” means the just shall live by his own level of faith. Every single person who is a believer is operating at his own level of faith.
What have you done with your seed of faith?
Confession:
I commit to nurturing and growing my faith seed. If I need to weed the area of undesirable elements to its growth, I commit to doing so immediately. I will grow my faith by feeding on what You say about me.
