JUBILEE PRISON MINISTRY
Jubilee Prison Ministry
This is the evangelistic arm of the ministry targeted at sharing the Gospel with the inmates in the prison system in the country.
Monthly
Expenses
For over 10 years, Jubilee Prison Ministry an arm of the Evangelism Department of The Carpenter’s Church has conducted monthly outreach visits to the Port Harcourt Prisons ministering to the inmates spiritually and physically. The Word is ministered via digital media on a screen. In these outreaches souls are saved, the baptism of the Holy Spirit is ministered, and healing is administered to those who request prayer for healing.
Also, refreshments are given to the inmates and other necessary provisions are shared among them. In addition to the foregoing, the Jubilee Prison Ministry has been of great blessing to the Port Harcourt Prisons in the following ways:
- The purchase of a 25 KVA generator, and occasional maintenance of the equipment.
- Renovating the bathrooms in the Male Ward.
- Assistance in securing the release of inmates who have been unfairly incarcerated. This is through the free services of legal practitioners among members of the team.
- Helping some released inmates to go back to their families.
In July 2017, Jubilee Prison Ministry extended her reach to the Degema and Ahoada Prisons. Our Jubilee prison team visits these two prisons on alternate months. In less than a year of visiting the Degema and Ahoada prisons precisely March 2018, apart from providing refreshments and toiletries for all the inmates in these two prisons during each visit, The Jubilee Prison Ministry of The Carpenter’s Church has also sunk boreholes, installed well constructed state of the art overhead tank stands with two 1500 litres GP water tanks in both prisons. We also provided 6KVA electricity generating Generator [Brand: SUMEC FIRMAN Petrol Generator] each to Ahaoda and Degema Prisons to help them with the pumping of water for the sunk boreholes.
Medical Missions

With a team of 153 volunteer doctors, nurses, paramedics, counsellors and assistants in 2016 and 177 in 2017, two very successful outreaches have been held.
