17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
James 2:26
Even though I did not talk about it, I knew I had to do something. So, my husband wrote an appeal letter to the Consul General, who had just resumed office, explaining that there was no reason for my visa to have been refused. I had more than shown that I had business in my country and that I was not going to live in their country. As far as I am concerned, I live in the place of my purpose in God, so I live in the best place there is for me. Why should I want to leave my country and become an illegal immigrant somewhere else?
One week was going to the next without any response. Then a word dropped in my heart. You need a rhema Word for every situation. The word that dropped in my heart was Pastor Charles’ message on The Waves of Favour. I got the tape and I started listening to the message over and over again. I took down notes from the tape, wrote down certain faith confessions from the tape. I still have those faith confessions. I slept with the tape. I went over and over the tape for two or three days. Then things began to happen almost instantly.
I had heard the Word and now I needed to act on what I had heard. So, even though I didn’t have a visa, we went ahead and bought our airline tickets for our vacation. Little did I know that the appeal letter we wrote had gotten to the Consular Officer that week, almost about the time I began to listen to The Waves of Favour. I got up that Thursday morning full of the tsunamis of favour and I said, “Not only do we have our tickets; I’m going to get up and pack my suitcase because I’m going to Lagos to get my visa.” I said this by faith as there was no sign that anything was different.
Confession:
I receive the rhema Word I need for every situation. I act on the Word I hear and things begin to happen for me.
