14 And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are – northward, southward, eastward, and westward;
15 for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.”
Genesis 13:14-15
Why it is so important to see that picture we spoke about yesterday is because you cannot have it unless you first see it. The Word of God is God’s final product about you. The more you revolve God’s Word in your heart and speak His Word out of your mouth, the more you will see yourself the way God sees you. God doesn’t see you through the eyes of your circumstances; God sees you through the eyes of His Word. The picture of the end product comes when you meditate on the Word of God.
Remember, meditation starts in your mind but it engages your spirit. When you are meditating – pondering and muttering the Word of God, you are painting the picture that God sees concerning you. At some point an explosion takes place in your spirit man, when the picture is fully painted and you can see the end result. You get it so clearly and nobody or no circumstance will ever take it from you again. For instance, you know without a shadow of doubt that no matter the amount of pain you may be feeling in your body, the picture of you being fully healed is sure and it stands in “living colours” in your spirit man. Or maybe you are trusting God for a baby. As you meditate on the Word of God, the picture of you as a mother carrying a baby stands in your spirit man. Even if you have to wait for 15 years, it really won’t bother you for you can clearly see yourself the way God sees you.
There are wonderful possibilities and opportunities available to you. However, God never promised to give you all the opportunities and possibilities that exist or that come your way, or even the ones that He sends your way. He promised to give you the opportunities and the possibilities you see.
Confession: As I meditate on God’s Word I see the opportunities and possibilities that exist and that God sends my way.
