1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1
The word “salvation” is a much-summarized word. It does not quickly reveal the glorious package that it truly contains. To a lot of believers, to be saved simply means a detour from hell and an assurance of a ticket to heaven. Friend, it is so much more than that. If it were just that, then we would all be going to heaven the instant we got born again. Salvation is more than going to heaven at death. What then does salvation mean? Salvation means deliverance, rescue, welfare, liberty, to be open wide or free.
Fear wants to pull a veil over your salvation so that you don’t see the benefits of your salvation. David said, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” David did not allow fear to veil his salvation. David was saying, “The Lord is my light whom shall I fear. The Lord is my victory, He is my safety, my deliverance, whom shall I fear?” If David, an Old Testament saint, could declare this, then you can certainly do so and more.
It is bad enough that fear veils your benefits; but it also enhances those things that you are afraid of. Fear shines a big spotlight on your circumstances in order to magnify them. If you listen to fear, you will believe that a consistent migraine will kill you. Friend, what does your benefit of healing mean? It means that when you got born again, you got a package that said no sickness can kill you except you allow it to. The sickness that can single-handedly kill you does not exist. Maybe you just lost your job. If you entertain the fear of going bankrupt because you just lost your job, you are taking a veil and covering your benefit of provision. When you got born again, you received a package of health, wealth, victory and so on. There is nothing more painful than receiving something and you don’t know what you’ve got. Psalm 68:19 says that the God of our salvation daily loads us with benefits. Don’t let any fear from the pit of hell ever veil that from you.

Father, I thank You for the salvation package given to me in Christ Jesus. Thank You for the salvation benefits that are mine. Fear will not veil my salvation benefits from me.
