14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; and he shaved, changed his clothing, and came to Pharaoh.
15 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that you can understand a dream, to interpret it.”
Genesis 41:14-15
Once Joseph heard the King’s call, he took out time to shave himself and remove his prison clothes. He knew he ought not to have been there in the first place. It was the manipulation of the enemy, through Potiphar’s lustful wife, that took him there, but he refused to remain there. Friend, God has brought you out of the dungeon. It’s now your responsibility to remove the prison clothes. Throw away your prison clothes. They will identify you as a prisoner. You can’t break limits while you are wearing prison clothes.
You need to take off the prison clothes in your attitude. One way you do this is by trying to invoke sympathy. You say, “You don’t know what I’ve been through in life.” That is a prison cloth! Sympathy is not God’s best and you don’t need it. Or maybe you just made a hundred thousand US Dollars in your business and when you’re about to pay your tithe you ask, “What will the church use the money for? I will give five percent only.” That is a prison cloth that reveals a poverty mentality. If an individual can handle a certain amount of wealth, then how much more a church, that is truly pursuing kingdom business? You heard a message in church on how God can make you pros- per, and He did so to the point that you now have so much. Now do you want to count yourself out of The Blessing? Selfish thinking belongs in the prison. Remove those prison clothes. Have the right attitude and walk in the direction of God’s purpose for your life. Walk like a king and walk into greater abundance.
Confession:
Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that You have redeemed me from the curse of the Law. I will not wear cursed clothes but I will put on my robe of righteousness and I will rule and reign over anything that is contrary to Your way of thinking.
