Sonship Consciousness

17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
1 Corinthians 6:17

3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

Matthew 4:3

As sons, we are one with God. This truth goes along with the idea that the new creation is a new spirit. When you got born again, your physical body did not change, but your spirit man changed. Remember that you are a tripartite (three part) being: you are a spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body. So the part of you that contacts and relates to God is your spirit man. In John 4:24, Jesus told the woman at the well that God is a Spirit. That means if you’re going to maximize your sonship, you have to be “spirit man” conscious. If you are more conscious of your body (the stimuli to, and responses from your five senses), or your soul (your emotions, your mind and your will), you will not maximize your sonship. It didn’t say that he that is one with the Lord is one body with Him; it says he is one spirit with Him. Do you now begin to see why many believers are living far below their sonship rights and privileges, and are constantly on the receiving end of the enemy, Satan?

In Matthew 4:3, it is obvious that Satan knew that those who are sons of God have commanding power and Jesus did not deny that fact. Sadly though, not many believers – sons of God, know this. You have to believe this about yourself, because, you may look at yourself and you may not look like you have commanding power. As a son of God, there are stones around you waiting to be turned into bread. There are mountains in front of you waiting to move and leap into the sea at your command.

You have what it takes to command everything that opposes you out of the way. You don’t necessarily have to yell for the mountains to move. However, if yelling will help your own faith by recognizing and remembering constantly that you are in charge, or if it will help the faith of someone you are ministering to, then by all means yell! Just move that mountain with your faith and your authority. You are a son of God.

Confession:
I am a son of God and I am conscious of my sonship. As a son of God I have commanding power. With faith and authority I command mountains to move and they move.
