PLEASURES IN HIS PRESENCE

11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Psalm 16:11

God is excited about Christians who spend enough time in His presence. His “right hand,” signifies His presence. There are pleasures at His right hand. God is not against pleasure, or luxury. Actually, the first miracle that Jesus performed – turning water into wine was a miracle of luxury (John 2:1-11). Water is a necessity of life but wine is a luxury. You can live without wine. It shows you that God is not against luxury. As God blesses you, have some luxury in the form of fine cars, fine vacations, and a fine wardrobe. Enjoy your- self – but please don’t abandon His presence. It’s at the right hand of God that you get to know the secrets that will cause you to enjoy luxuries in life.

Oftentimes what happens is that some Christians start by staying in the presence of God, and He begins revealing His dreams, and the interpretation and application of the dreams to them. Maybe, soon after, they make their first business deal and gain a lot of profit. Then they don’t have time to stay in God’s presence anymore because they have to go and make the next deal. They pursue contracts and connections all the time. We don’t need that. We need to stay in His presence. Embrace, digest and talk His Word – the language of His presence. In the process, deep will call unto deep, and He will tell you the meaning of those deep things He’s revealing to you. He will show you what you need to know in order to break the limits that are still lurking around in your life.

Confession:

Father, I will never let go of my first love. I love You because You first loved me. I put You first because You put me first. Your blessings upon me will never take Your place in my heart. You mean everything to me, my Father.
