Proverbs 4:20-22
When a doctor attends to you, they give you medicine and a detailed prescription on how to take each medicine. This means that there are prescribed doses to follow for every medicine. It also means that every medicine is only effective if you take it the right way. When you take any medicine the right way, you are assured of results. Therefore, you have no right to expect results if you are not following the prescription order of the doctor.
In medicine, as practiced in the world today, when physicians give prescriptions for the use of the medicines they recommend, the idea is not new. They actually borrowed a leaf from the Great Physician because His own medicine has got prescriptions also!
Just as in a good hospital, there is a doctor and there is a pharmacist, so also am I one of the “pharmacists” for Doctor Jehovah Rapha. It is a very prestigious position. God has given you a prescription in Proverbs 4:20-22. Like any professional pharmacist should, let me explain your Doctor’s doses to you.
Dose #1: Give attention to His words.
Dose #2: Incline your ear to His sayings.
Dose #3: Do not let them depart from your eyes.
Dose #4: Keep them in the midst of your heart.
You were healed by the stripes of Jesus. To make sure you stay healed, take His medicine according to His dosage. You say, “I tried last time but it didn’t work.” Keep taking your medicine and don’t miss your doses. God’s medicine, when taken according to prescription works always. Why should you let the Devil keep oppressing you with sickness and disease? Why do you sit back and tolerate the sickness and disease that keeps plaguing you, season after season? Why don’t you just take your medicine?
Confession:
I am already healed by the stripes Jesus bore for me. I take His medicine according to His dosage and I stay healed.
