A while back when I came back from a summer trip, I started noticing some abnormal swellings in every part of my body, which looked more or less like soldier ant stings. The doctor could not tell me what it was but I was given some expensive drugs that didn't do any good. It got so bad that it affected my breathing, particularly at night when I slept. The itching could start at any time of the day even while I was at work. I was using all kinds of balms till I got tired of them and I asked God what I could do to make it go away. One day, I was discussing with a friend who told me about the testimony Pastor Nkechi shared about her youngest daughter confessing the Word, “By His stripes I am healed…” I began to do this when my body began to swell and itch, in spite of what I was seeing. Later the Spirit of God prompted me to listen to a message, The Faith of God by Andrew Wommack and I learnt the importance of taking the Word of God as evidence and I started doing that.
My total breakthrough came when Pastor Nkechi gave a word of knowledge one day saying, “Someone's restoration is here today.” I believed it and didn't doubt it at all. Later that evening the itching started but I kept telling myself my restoration had come. Days later I found out that I had not woken up at night gasping for air; neither had I itched nor experienced any swelling. I now have a better understanding of the Word being my evidence, not only in my health but also in other areas of my life.
