I left home for National Youth Service (NYSC) hale and hearty but in the course of my service year, I developed a health condition, which the doctor diagnosed as High Blood Pressure (HBP). I began to experience some symptoms like very fast heartbeats after walking or doing some work, pains in my knees, some form of stiffness on my neck and muscles behind my ankle. The doctor attributed it to some ailment (meningitis) that broke out in the Northern part of the country where I served. It continued and the doctor had to place me on some anti-hypertensive drugs, but he became worried because the drugs had adverse side effects.
On passing out of the NYSC, while others were happy, I had mixed feelings. After service, instead of going back to Port Harcourt, I decided to go to my hometown to take care of myself, but I didn’t get better and I grew worse. Later that year, I came to Port Harcourt and started attending church. When Broken Wall Healing School for the month of November was due, I told my brother that my case would be called out and I would receive my healing. I was so amazed when Pastor Charles started the message and mentioned one of the symptoms, which I was having at that particular time. He said: “There is someone with pain on his knees,” and I quickly claimed my healing. He also mentioned that what he had mentioned could be a symptom of a more serious illness. So I just believed that it was done.
Sometime later I was called for a job interview and I was asked if I had any ailment that would affect my work. My answer was no, believing that my case was settled. In the message, Pastor Charles mentioned that the Devil would come back but that he should meet the Word on our lips and it happened exactly like that.
Later I began to experience some of the symptoms again, so I started taking the drugs again and confessing God’s Word. Most times my blood pressure would drop to about 140/90. Shortly after, I was offered the job and I became scared and decided to go for a check. When I got there, my blood pressure was checked and I was told that it was normal 120/80. This gave me confidence to go for the company’s medicals. It was again confirmed that my BP was normal 120/80 too.
