My neighbour in Enugu, who is also my father in the Lord, had a health challenge. It started as a waist pain but developed into a spinal cord condition. It was so severe that he could not kneel, sit or stand. He had to always lie down. The doctors said he had to be operated upon.

When I heard about how bad it had become, I fasted and prayed for him on Saturday and Sunday, being the last weekend in September. That Sunday was a Broken Wall Healing School service. During worship, the power of God was so tangible that I was overwhelmed and broken down. In my brokenness, I asked Jesus not just to heal him but also to change the spinal cord. I prayed for Pastor Charles to mention his case but Pastor did not mention the case specifically rather, he said that God would change some people’s body parts. My joy knew no bounds for I knew that the spinal cord was among the parts to be changed.

The next Sunday, being Nigeria’s Independence Anniversary service, I was shocked when after the Word Pastor Charles said, “Lift your hands and praise Him, there is someone with a spinal cord problem; it is so terrible that it makes you uncomfortable, you are healed by the power of God.” I lifted up my hands immediately and claimed that healing and started praising God. I was sure that it was done!

By Thursday that week, I received a call from my mum. She was shouting as she was giving me the testimony. She said that my father in the Lord had gotten up from his bed and came to our house unaided. She said he miraculously got up on Wednesday!

I want everyone to know that God answers prayers. He changed his spinal cord and He can still do it again. In fact, Jesus is looking for somebody to heal if you just believe.
