Some years ago, I was traveling to Warri with my sister and a friend who drove the car. It had been raining heavily and the roads were rather slippery. Just after Ahoada, my friend lost control of the car and it skidded until it got into the bush. From there it sprang on to the road again, swaying from side to side. During the incident, I tried to reach down to the driver’s side to apply the break but I may have accelerated because the car just kept swaying out of control until it finally came to a stop at a corner of the road.
Passersby rushed in to help us out of the car, as some of them had witnessed the accident. The driver sustained cuts on his head and was bleeding, but my sister and I came out without injuries. At the end of it, we were able to bring the bleeding under control, and I took over the driving. God took us safely to Warri without any further incidents.
The following day, I called a mechanic to check the car, and he came and picked it to his workshop. When he brought it back, he recounted how the car suddenly stopped on his way to his workshop. I thank God because the car could have stopped on our way after the accident, but God made sure that we got to Warri safely.
I also thank God because there were lots of bridges and rivers along the road, and the car could have run into any of them, but God did not allow that to happen.
I thank God for His protection.
