I Can Say Indeed, God Doesn’t Miss a Service in Tcc

After our wedding in 2013, my wife had been praying for a child. I had told her I wasn’t ready for kids until two years after our wedding. It seemed like she agreed with the idea initially, but it was apparent she seriously wanted a kid after barely three months. We knew she had hormonal imbalance, which didn’t automatically imply barrenness. She had been in contact with her gynecologist who had prescribed a few tests and medications for her.

When we travelled to USA, she continued her treatment with a medical doctor over there. She went for tests and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scans. My wife took her medications religiously and also kept track of her basal body temperature on a daily basis. Even though they all increased her worries, we kept on believing God. She took in twice, and lost both. I kept on encouraging her that all will be well. I wasn’t really bothered at the time, but her worries got me worried. I also wasn’t bothered because I knew we would be fine; I was a bit nonchalant to be truthful, after all, I wanted the kids to start coming from year two after our marriage. When we returned, the problem returned with us, but we kept on praying and believing God’s Word.

She took in again and lost it. This really increased her concerns and I kept encouraging her. We came to church one Sunday in the month of July 2014, I think it was a healing service that day. We almost missed church that day, but we determined that nothing was enough to make us miss Sunday service, so we came. As we were in church praying, Pastor Kech started giving words of knowledge and she was calling out several cases and commanding healing in Jesus’ name. I wasn’t particularly thinking about our case, but I figured my wife would. As Pastor continued declaring faith and healing words, she started walking towards our direction, then she said, “Hormonal imbalance…” Instantly, I nudged my wife and said, “That’s it!” to which she acknowledged with a nod as she was praying.

To the glory of God Almighty, that was the last month my wife took her medication. That night when we got home, at bedtime, she brought out the medicine as usual and we thought, “Hey, we have been healed right? Right!” So we agreed she didn’t need to take it anymore since we got the confirmation about her healing from our man of God. That very month, my wife took in!

After a few weeks when she started feeling funny, she went in for a pregnancy test. The result was positive. A few weeks later, we went in for a scan and wow!!! There were two sacks, with the second actually dividing. The attendant told us to brace up for triplets!

While all these were going on, I was believing God for a new job. It was a prayer request I turned in during one of our FOG meetings and I instantly believed that God heard us in that meeting and I never raised it again as a prayer point because I believed God had started working in the background. All I had to do was keep declaring that I receive my job. As I kept coming to hear the Word of God on Sundays and during the weekly meetings, I kept on hearing faith filled words and I kept praying and speaking those words.

In December 2014, I got invited for an interview. I didn’t hear from the company again. So on the 5th of January, at about 10:30 a.m., I called the M.D. to let him know I had not heard from them. He asked where I was. “Port Harcourt,” I replied. Then he said, “Come to the office right now and resume. I will be waiting for you.” God is great!

In February 2015, based on recommendations from the gynecologist, it became obvious that my wife might have to go under the knife. Well, that was my preference anyway, since I wasn’t sure how my wife would handle delivery pains. We kept our FOG leader, Brother Edesiri informed of the situation and he kept encouraging us. My wife wanted to “push,” that is, have our babies normally, but it seemed the babies didn’t like to be pushed around so they wouldn’t turn. They remained positioned horizontally, even a week to EDD.

One Sunday, as we were preparing to come to church, my wife decided to just check her blood pressure and it was on the very high side. We called the doctor to let him know. His response made us to know that we were in for an emergency. We quickly drove to the hospital and got ready for the surgical procedure. I quickly sent a text message to my FOG leader and coordinator. They both prayed for us.

Within an hour, the whole surgery was complete. Two distinct cries ran through the hospital hallway and I knew they had arrived. Moments later, I received the “generals.” Two handsome bouncing baby boys!! It was on Easter Sunday!! Double Celebrations!! Hallelujah!! He arose to take away sickness and diseases!! Even though one of my boys had to spend another week in the hospital because of the high level of jaundice he had at that time, God saw us through. We kept on speaking faith filled words and healing words to our boys. We kept declaring health, and God’s Word never fails.

I can say indeed, God doesn’t miss a service in TCC. His Word works. Our mother-in-Israel, our own man of God is really our Joshua. We appreciate God for His power at work through her. We love you Pastor Kech!
