I had a sneezing problem for over twelve years now and it severely affected one of my sense organs. I lost my sense of smell, and this in turn affected my sense of taste as well. I could not perceive anything around me neither could I distinguish the taste of anything that goes into my mouth. For me, everything tasted the same. Breathing was a serious challenge because I consciously had to breathe through my mouth.
Before I started coming to The Carpenter’s Church, it was a daily reoccurrence. I sneezed quite frequently and did not dare expose my body especially, my chest and my spinal cord regions to air. Even during the hot weather, I had to wear my clothes. Eating was just another usual necessary routine because there was no pleasure and satisfaction derived from eating. I could not perceive the aroma of the food to appreciate what I was about to eat, neither could I tell how it tasted let alone enjoy it.
In the last Broken Wall Healing School Pastor Charles ministered, he called out my case through the word of knowledge, and I received my healing. On my way home that day, I realized that I could perceive smells. I was so excited even while in the car but nobody understood my excitement. I felt the way Archimedes must have felt when he discovered the Theory of Floatation. However, the excitement was cut short because it lasted only three days.
I didn’t give up because I knew I was healed and recognized the healing power of Jesus. So, I started longing for it, to feel the ecstasy like I experienced those days again. I would always confess that I was healed by His stripes, that no infirmity shall live in my body and my body is the temple of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
This continued until one of the healing services in 2016 when Pastor Nkechi, through word of knowledge, confirmed my healing once again and confirmed that such a case had been re-occurring. I cannot remember exactly what else she said afterwards, but she declared that this time the person’s healing was permanent. I received it, believing every bit of it. It was the liberation I needed to hear.
However, in the course of my total restoration, a sad event occurred. I came back from a meeting late one night, and I was very hungry. I got home and quickly rushed out to a near-by junction to buy bread and milk for tea from a shop. I bought a particular brand of milk and did not even check for the expiry date. Back home, fortunately for me, my mom asked me to make a cup of tea for her also with a little quantity of the milk. I went into the kitchen, opened the tin of milk and poured some into a cup, tasting a little. Afterwards, I took my cup of tea to my room and called out to my mom to get her own cup of tea in the kitchen. As soon as she got to the kitchen she noticed that the whole place was saturated with a bad smell. She called out to tell me to wait a while before drinking my tea. She brought her own cup of tea close to her nose and the smell she perceived was so bad that she shouted and immediately dropped the cup. She told me the milk was bad. It was then that I went to check for the expiry date. Even though the manufacturing and expiring dates were not legible, the product was still within its expiration time.
I became so angry, and with that anger and great haste I rushed back to the shop owner who sold the milk to me. Unfortunately, she was about locking up. I complained, showing her and her husband my observations. However, the response from the woman was not appealing. She said there was no way to confirm if that was the same tin of milk that I bought from her since I had already emptied the can. She told me that there was nothing she could do. On the other hand, her husband seemed very apologetic and showed genuine concern over the possible hazard that could have occurred. So, I told her that I actually did not come for a refund but I would take the matter up with the company directly. All through that night I was unable to sleep pondering on what could have happened to me if not for God’s timely intervention.
I did some research on the company to find any information and possible contacts for the company. Fortunately, I got a link to one of their biggest dealers. I uploaded pictures of the product’s tin, its content and made some write-ups. I got a response from the company’s headquarters in Lagos. The general manager spoke with me, and later on sent a staff member of the company to confirm that the incidence was a factory error from their production unit. The staff came, took inventory of the stock and eventually replaced every tin of their product in the woman’s shop, compensated me with a dozen of the product and an unreserved apology.
In my spirit, I knew God had used me to save lives, and afterwards I realized how important the sense of smell is when compared with the sense of sight and hearing. I was reminded of how badly I had been living.
I continued to confess that I was healed and I would experience my healing even more again.
It was in March this year that I got my full restoration. I am whole again, like a newborn baby. I can now perceive odours and fragrances, enjoy my meals and my bath because now, I can tell the fragrance of the soap and indeed everything around me.
Thank God for everything and the pastors for their anointing and teaching of the undiluted word.
