I had been in a job for three years that offered neither career growth nor job satisfaction. In addition, the wages were low and the managers treated the staff with utter disregard. From my first year on the job I had made several attempts to change employment or set up a business, but things appeared static. I kept praying, confessing the Word and sowing my seed in faith so God would grant me a better job. Sometime last October, I received an invitation for a test from an organization that I have always desired to work with. The invitation itself was a miracle because I had hoped for it earlier in the year but it did not come then. After the test, I was not shortlisted for the interview. This was very discouraging but I encouraged myself in the Lord and moved on knowing that God’s plans for me are always good. On the 8th of November 2010, I received a call from the organization asking me if I was available to resume immediately.
Before the end of the week I had resumed in the organization I have always desired to work with without reaching the test cut off mark and without an interview. Within two weeks of my resumption, the company I formerly worked with had laid off 80% of my former colleagues. Indeed God is always faithful and He will never leave us stranded.
