He Who Keeps Israel Shall Neither Slumber Nor Sleep!

On the 11th of August 2017, while my husband was away to Bayelsa for the burial arrangements of my father-in-law, I woke up at about 2:00 a.m. to use the restroom and also lead my sleepy sons, one on the bed with my daughter and I, and my first son who slept on a smaller foam beside my bed, to use the restroom as well. There was no power supply at that time, so I used the torchlight from my phone to light my way. Just after I put them back to sleep on the mattress, I realized that the room was a bit stuffy and decided to open the windows. Just as I opened the first one and was attempting to open the second one, my eyes caught a black curly object like a snake on the overstretched curtain part on the floor. Behold it was a snake. I was shocked and, immediately, I sent my children out of the room as my husband was out of town that day. I quickly went out to get some fuel but couldn’t do so on my own because there was none in the jerry can. So, I called out to my neighbour, who is also a brother in church, and he helped to get some fuel out from the generator tank, and we were able to douse the snake with the fuel before we killed it.
It could only have been God because my first son was lying on the floor on a small mattress, as it is their practice to sleep in mom and dad’s room anytime their father is not around.
Indeed, “He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121: 2-4). “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways” (Psalm 91:11).
Hallelujah!!!
