I resigned from my job in February this year, due to certain reasons. The major one was a mistake I made in the company’s financial account for the year 2010. The company auditor gave my boss a condition to either choose me to remain as the accountant or for him to continue as the auditor of the company. Professionally speaking, the auditor has no such right to decide who works or who does not work in a company as the accountant, but my boss asked him to stay, so I had to resign. When I submitted my resignation letter, I felt as though a heavy load was taken off my shoulders and I had peace in my heart knowing that my resignation was for my lifting.
One Sunday morning in April, before I left for church, I knew my Father had a word for me and I was ready to receive it. During the service, Pastor Nkechi gave a word of knowledge that someone lost her job due to certain mistakes she made, and she did not know how the mistakes happened. She said that the person would get another job higher than the former. She went on to illustrate that if the former job was a level 7 job, that she would get a level 9 job. Immediately, I knew it was for me, so I received it and praised God for His faithfulness.
A while later, I got a call from the managing director of a company who asked me to see him in May for a job. When I went there, all we talked about were the terms of the job: working days, salary, etc. I got the job without any formal interview. The MD simply said, “We need your services; you are the one who can handle this job.”
The salary, working conditions, environment, etc are by far better than the former job, and I am enjoying it. I really give God all the praise and honour due Him. I do not know where I would have been without Him. Indeed, God’s works are wonderful!
