God Rescued Me And My Family From A Fatal Automobile Accident

God saved me and my family from a fatal automobile accident on Sunday, 28th April 2019. On the said day, we were on our way back from a burial in my husband’s village. Before then, I had heard a voice telling me not to drive; meanwhile, I was the one who drove the vehicle to the village. I initially did not want to listen but after the repetition of the voice, I decided to obey. I had to tell my husband’s friend who was with us to drive the car since my husband was still rounding up things in the village. Thirty minutes into the journey, the vehicle swayed uncontrollably into the bush after an oncoming truck had just passed us. At this point, we were screaming the name of Jesus because that was all we could say. Indeed, He came through for us. He diverted the vehicle from entering into a pit that was directly in front of us to hit an unconnected electric pole that broke into pieces without any falling on the vehicle. If the pole had been connected to power, it could have resulted in electrocution or fire outbreak.
Thank God for passers-by that suddenly came to our rescue and took us to the hospital for onward treatment. After the medical personnel examined my mother and my little cousin who sat in front, they discovered that they sustained only little cuts on their faces and legs despite the shattered windscreen. Furthermore, my two younger sisters who sat behind also had little bruises on the nose and arm. I had a right pelvic dislocation. My children had no scratches on them as they sat behind as well. This could only have been God.
I can remember on some occasions while I was still on bedrest that my older son would do things that would upset me and tease me by saying, “Mummy, you cannot catch me”, knowing fully well that I couldn’t walk at that time. Each time he said that I would counter him by saying, “I’ll catch you soon’’, which I eventually did. At some point, my husband started experiencing backache because he was constantly carrying me on his back when I had to use the restroom. He also had to carry me up and down the stairs to the car for my routine check-ups as we live on the first floor of a two-storey building.
The healing process began on the morning of the Healing Service of May 2019, I could not watch the service by Livestream because my phone was damaged as a result of the accident. While my elder sister was preparing for the service, I asked her to stand in faith for the excruciating pain I was going through as a result of the accident. On her arrival from church, she told me there was a word of knowledge for me, which I keyed into with this Scripture in Jeremiah 30:17 “For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds, says the Lord …” I also broke bread with my family. Although the doctors prescribed a six-week bedrest before I could step my feet on the ground, God miraculously healed me in less than three weeks. I started stepping my feet on the ground before their prescribed date which abolished the doctor’s report. Today, I can walk and run.
Thank God for giving us a man of God like Pastor Nkechi Ene who hears directly from God. I thank our zonal pastor, Pastor Chuks Okafor for his incessant prayers and calls. I also appreciate our FOG members especially our amiable leader, Sister Ineindide Parkins, for their show of love. To my loving husband for his undying support and care, and also to my immediate family members who stood by me, I thank you dearly. Indeed TCC is home of discipleship.
