God Is Faithful and Makes the Medically Impossible Cases Possible

I got pregnant and did not know because I was still menstruating. I was feeling feverish one day and someone joked that I should run a pregnancy test. There was no reason but I just decided to buy a pregnancy test strip and do the test myself. I was surprised when it turned out positive. However, to be double sure, I went for a scan, and the result confirmed that I was already twelve weeks pregnant. The scan also showed that the placenta position was anterior that is positioned at the front wall or the mouth of the uterus or womb.

As the pregnancy progressed, I registered in a clinic, and I was asked to go for a scan again. I did and like before, the position of the placenta had not changed. Then I was referred to the military hospital. At the military hospital, I was sent for yet another scan which also revealed that the placenta was still in the anterior position.

When I gave my result to my gynaecologist who was a woman, she explained to me, by illustrating on paper, the positions of the womb, the baby and the placenta. She said that, the placenta has totally covered the womb with not even a tiny space which the baby might come out from. She also said that was why it’s absolutely impossible for the baby to be born normally.

I smiled and laughed at the same time at her statement. This is because from the moment I discovered that I was pregnant, I had started confessing what I wanted in line with the Word of God. The doctor asked me why I had laughed. She also wanted to know if I was one of those women who were against a caesarean section. I told her I was not against a caesarean section, but that I serve a God who is a specialist at working with impossible cases. She smiled and said that she likes my faith.

As the pregnancy progressed, during the 30th week of my pregnancy, I had a dream that God operated on me and changed the position of the placenta. I woke up and observed that I was bleeding. I quickly called my husband who was at work at that time, and told him that we had to change our prayer and begin to praise God for giving us victory over the situation.

Later on the same day, my husband called to ask me to go to the hospital to report the bleeding I told him about. I replied that I will go; however, I wanted to see if the bleeding will be prolonged. The bleeding lasted for two days and stopped by itself. I did not have to report the case rather I kept thanking God for the miracle of quick and a fast child birth.

On the 3rd of March, I woke up with a praise song (Imela by Nathaniel Bassey). I kept singing this song as I prepared to go for my antenatal. On my way to the hospital, I kept singing the song. I had to put it on repeat on my phone. On getting to the hospital, after all the normal routine checks, the doctor said I had to be admitted in preparation for a caesarean section. My husband had returned for the delivery. He was asked to donate blood in preparation for the surgery. I told my husband to go ahead and donate the blood, but it will not be used for me. My husband did donate the blood though.

The doctor asked me to go get my things and come back. We went back home, but we waited for our children to return from school so we could tell them it’s time to bring their baby brother into this world. On our way back to the hospital, I started having contractions. When we got to the hospital, the nurses asked me to go and eat to allow some time before the commencement of the surgery. As we walked to the restaurant, the contraction became stronger and came at short intervals.

I managed to eat and we hurried back to the hospital because I felt like my baby was coming. As soon as I got back to the hospital, I asked the nurses to come and check me, but they smiled and said I didn’t look like someone in labour because I was not shouting even though I was feeling some pains. They advised me to go to my bed and rest that they will check me later.

As I walked back to the ward, just at the delivery room door, my water broke with a loud sound. At this the nurses began to run around, they called out to the matron, the director, and the consultant. They were asked to roll me to the theatre, because they said it was suicidal to allow me go into labour myself. At this point a nurse helped me to climb up the bed. She also helped me to pull up my legs, so that my hands could hold them up in position for delivery. With one push I delivered my baby. The nurse shouted, “Madam! I like your faith.”

As the medical team was entering the ward, they heard the cry of my baby boy. God had walked with our faith and gone ahead of the medical team. Hallelujah! The whole antenatal ward went agog; rushing in to see me. Indeed, God is faithful and makes the medically impossible cases possible. Praise God!
