GOD IS A TOMORROW THINKER: HE PLANS AHEAD

9 Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”

Revelation 19:9

The Marriage Supper of the Lamb is many years ahead but God has already given His specifications for it because He is a tomorrow thinker. He has planned ahead. Many times, Christians are taken by surprise, but God is never taken by surprise. You hear statements of unbelief from Christians like, “Nobody knows tomorrow.” If you learn to be like God, and become a tomorrow thinker, you will know that your tomorrow is according to The Blessing.

You say, “But it’s one day at a time.” Yes, it’s “one day at a time,” towards a laid out vision, and not “one day at a time,” like one beating the air. If you don’t plan ahead, what is one day at a time for?

When we talk about tomorrow thinkers, you may start wondering, “The Scripture says, ‘…Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on’” (Matthew 6:25 KJV).

The phrase, “Take no thought,” means, “Don’t be anxious.” You can be a tomorrow thinker without being a “tomorrow worrier.” When we talk about tomorrow thinkers, we refer to those who have tomorrow in view. If our Father, the Creator of heaven and earth, is a tomorrow thinker, no less is expected of us. God didn’t say, “Oh, I’m God Almighty, I can swing things anyway I want, so I will wait until the day of the Marriage Supper, when I walk in with My Bride, the Church. On that day I will begin to give instructions revealing My specifications and My pattern for that glorious event, and then everything will happen just like that.” No, He didn’t do that. He’s planned ahead. Even His plan for the redemption of mankind began before the foundation of the world. You too can become a “tomorrow thinker” and plan ahead.

Confession:
I am like God my Father who plans things ahead of time. I am a tomorrow thinker, planning towards a laid out vision. I live with tomorrow in view, but I am not a tomorrow worrier.
