3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Matthew 8:3
In several places in the four Gospels, Jesus asked people, “Do you want to be made well?” (John 5:6). In other instances, people asked Him to come and heal their children or servants (Mark 5:23; Matthew 8:6). Jesus’ responses always showed that it is His will to heal always. You need to recognize that God has done all He will ever do concerning your healing. I want to repeat this for emphasis: God has done all He will ever do concerning your healing. He has done it all. When He gave up His Son on the cross of Calvary, that was His way of saying, “I will.”
That is the magnitude of His grace poured out towards you. His grace is His abundant provision already made available to you in Christ Jesus. Someone says, “Jesus, I want to feel like You love me. Why don’t You heal me?” That statement though emotional, is rubbish and unbelief and won’t get you closer to your healing. It will take you further away from it. John 3:16 shows us that God has sufficiently proved His love for us and given us salvation (healing) in the same process. If you don’t “feel” it – God has nothing to do with that. Deal with it.
After the woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus and was healed, Jesus told her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace” (Luke 8:48). In the real sense of it, apart from the times when God moves by His supernatural gifts, all that God will do to heal you, He has done it by way of Jesus being crucified on the cross. Therefore, we shouldn’t really say, “God just healed me.” It is your faith that just healed you. It is because of the inadequacy in human vocabulary that we say things like, “God healed me.” Yes, it’s God who healed you; but do you know when He healed you? He healed you over two thousand years ago. You only made contact with it the day you received it. It was when you made contact. That was not when God healed you.
Confession:
Father, I thank You because You have done all You will ever do concerning my healing. You did it all when You gave up Your Son on the cross of Calvary for me. By faith, I make contact with my healing today and receive it, in Jesus’ Name.
