I thank God for saving my life. I was on my way to the office, and on getting to Rumuola, I crossed over to the other side of the road to board a taxi to Stadium road.  A taxi with four passengers pulled up and I sat in front with another passenger, who was there already. Immediately the driver drove off, the man that was sitting beside me told the driver that the seat was close to the dashboard and that he should adjust it. The driver asked him to tell me to adjust it because I was the one who could adjust it since I was sitting close to the lever.

So, I put my hand under the chair, but I didn’t see or feel any lever. However, by the time I raised my head, I did not see my bag, which I kept between me and the other passenger. It just dawned on me that these were robbers and not just passengers. I started shouting inside the car and I held the man at the back because, when I turned, I saw my bag with him. I also held the steering too. The robber that was sitting beside me opened the door and pushed me out of the car but God helped me hold onto the steering, by then my legs were outside the car and the driver was on high speed. He was hitting my hand and trying to push me out from the car, while my legs were outside.

I held on to the steering and finally managed to turn it and the car veered off the road and hit a fence, but before then the other four had jumped out leaving the driver and I because they had done all they could do but I still held on to the steering. So, people went after them but could get only the woman, while I held the driver.

As they were being beaten by the people, a lady that owned a shop along that road came and called me, saying they have recovered my bag and laptop. She said, one of the robbers ran to her and gave her the bag to hold for him, and then he ran away. It was the mercy of God that truly gave me such strength to overcome them.
