My testimony is about God’s protection over my young son who fell from a storey building during the Christmas break.

During the Christmas period last year I travelled home with my children to see my mum and also for thanksgiving.

It happened that this was the first time in four years that everyone in my family was coming home and I did not want to miss out on it.

So we all went home. As we were busy preparing for the thanksgiving cooking, and since I was the leader of the department, we were cooking all sorts of foods.

While the kids were just running and playing around the compound, suddenly I saw some of my family members running towards the front of the house and my mum

calling out my name. I got there to see that my son had just fallen from a storey building. He had been pushed down by his little cousin while playing.

He fell to the ground, stood up, and ran inside to meet his father who just came in to see us. We all gathered around him to examine him and he told us that as

he was falling, his eyes where moving round and round and he thought he was going to die. Immediately, I told him,”No, you will not die.” He was shaking all

over and I was shaking even the more because he fell on a hard ground, and he is just five years old and so tiny. I give God all the praise for cushioning my

son’s fall and for being our ever-present help in times of trouble.

We came back to Port Harcourt and I took him to the doctor for proper medical check-up,

it was confirmed that the little boy was perfect without any bone fracture or after effect from the fall.

About two weeks later, a sister in church told me of a similar event that lead to the death of a young boy.

As we were praising God and thanking Him at home,

I remembered that our man of God asked us to take Psalm 91 as our confession

for protection seriously here in church and even at home. This we did and believed

that indeed God’s Word will not return to Him void (Isaiah 55:11). Psalm 91 verses 11, 12 say:”For He shall give His angels charge over you,

to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.” Indeed our God is faithful to His Word.
