I want to thank God for the provision of my budget pledge. Before I came to church on a particular budget reading Sunday, I already had in mind the amount I wanted to give but the Holy Spirit told me to give a certain amount. During the service, the nudge became stronger after Pastor Nkechi Ene (Mrs.) made a statement that God wants to move you to a place of abundance beyond your limitations. I wrote down the figure in the budget slip, telling God that I don’t like owing, I don’t want to struggle to pay and I would want to finish it before the next budget reading. At the beginning of this year, I paid the initial amount I had in mind to pay. God provided it miraculously but I kept reminding Him that it was His part that was remaining to fulfil. God indeed fulfilled His own part of the bargain, for, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19) and I am so glad it was without a struggle. I made this pledge when I had nothing as it were but now I know that I can stretch my faith to believe God for more, for there is more where that came from. I want to thank God for our pastors who teach us the undiluted Word; that we can make demands on God. He hears us always and answers us always.
