4 And no man takes this honour to himself,
but he who is called by God, just as Aaron was.

Hebrews 5:4

There is honour in answering the call of God.
Whatever God has called you to do will be the
avenue through which He will honour you. The
call of God on my life is the primary avenue
through which God will continually honour me.
The Bible says the gifts and calling of God are
irrevocable (Romans 11:29). Every call is backed
up by gifts that will make that call succeed. It
is the gifts that back up the call that make the
call to succeed and those gifts will put you in a
place of honour. Joseph had a gift with dreams and
that gift brought him honour before Pharaoh and before all of Egypt.

You must learn to respect and appreciate the uniqueness of
your calling and your gifts. Those gifts are what will
distinguish you from others, and when you are distinguished
from others, you are breaking off limits from your life. I cannot do
any other thing in this life apart from preaching the gospel of the
Lord Jesus Christ. My calling is so sure and specific, so if I try to
do any other thing, I feel like I will die. Once I began to do what God
called me to do, He brought me out of the pit where nobody would have seen me.
From the dark places of the pit, my call brought me to the light. You do not
belong in the dark; you do not belong to a confined place. Get out of that
place! He doesn’t just want you to come out; He wants to honour you.
Whatever your call may be, whether in ministry, whether in business, whether
in education, whether in a skilled trade – whatever it may be, start
climbing the ladder diligently pursuing your calling and developing your
gifts, and you will become a spectacle for good.
