FROM ONE LEVEL OF FAITH TO ANOTHER

17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

Romans 1:17

Through the Word of God you can go from one level of faith to another level. As you receive revelation from the Word of God, you grow from one level of faith to another. Don’t bother praying for faith because you have already been given the measure of faith; rather dig deep into the Word. Openly receive the Word of God and you will grow from one level of faith to another.

One way to check if you have truly received the Word of God in any area is to watch your spontaneous reaction and subsequent actions when things happen. What’s the first thing you think of if you have symptoms of a headache? What’s the first thing that occurs to you? Is it to take your authority in Christ Jesus and stand on God’s Word, or is it to rush off to the local chemist at the slightest throb?
Now, there is nothing wrong in visiting the local chemist but how much of your right to live in Zoe is on your radar screen?

When something happens in any area of life, your first reaction gives you an idea of how much you have received the Word of God in that area of life. For example, as a woman, if your husband comes home late from work what is the first thing that occurs to you? Do you think he probably had a flat tyre? Do you think it’s probably that job again? Or do you think he is having an affair with his secretary? Your reaction will be guided by what you believe.

Your level of reception of the Word of God is revealed in your reaction to circumstances that confront you.

Confession:

Father, I meditate on your Word day and night. I am like a barrel filled with water to overflowing. When the storms of life come to shake me, it is the water of Your Word that I am filled with that will come out. Praise God.
