1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.

Psalm 27:1, 6

Fear prevents you from offering sacrifices to God. A “sacrifice” is something you have to give up, surrender, or relinquish, to someone else for a greater good. Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real, and this false evidence will veil the greater good and thus prevent you from making that sacrifice. When you want to sacrifice some precious money, fear will make poverty appear real and imminent. When you want to sacrifice time for the kingdom, fear will make your schedule appear crowded and way too busy to afford that time. When you want to sacrifice your feelings and forgive someone who has hurt you badly, fear will convince you that they are about to hurt you again.

In some instances, fear prevents you from offering the sacrifice of praise (Psalm 50:23). Sometimes after you have prayed for your healing you may not see the manifestation immediately. You know that what you should do while you wait is to praise God loud and clear for everybody to hear. Then, fear comes in to tell you that you should not praise God just yet, because you have not seen the manifestation. The Devil comes and asks you, “What if your healing does not happen?” If he asks you that, tell him, “It has already happened.”

When fear comes to prevent you from offering sacrifices of praise unto God, be like David and say, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid” (Psalm 27:1). Irrespective of your circumstances, and irrespective of what your senses can see or feel, you can enter into His gate with thanksgiving and praise in your heart.
