FAITH USES WORD TOOLS

23 “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

Mark 11:23

Faith uses word tools to translate the invisible into the visible. The woman with the issue of blood heard about Somebody with a different report. She began to meditate upon what she heard, and decided to throw away the previous material her mind had worked with. She brought in fresh life-giving material and she began to think on it. As she thought on it, it got to a point that revelation came. Then she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well” (Mark 5:28). For her, word tools were bringing the invisible realm into the visible realm, and some- thing was changing.

If you have been hearing the Word of God, then what will come out of your mouth will be what Jesus had in mind when He said, “…The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). Keeping silent is not faith. Some of us have mastered how not to make the wrong confession. However, sometimes, when you really need to initiate a positive confession, self-consciousness or shyness may come in. You begin to consider who is present, or who may come in, and so you swallow up what you know you should have said.

You’ve got to say what you have been hearing from the Word. You shall have what you say. So it is only one step not to say the wrong thing and be silent; you’ve got to move from there another step and open your mouth and say what you have heard about Jesus, even if it entails people laughing at you. That’s when it is faith.

There are so many reasons why you may not want to say it. You may think that if somebody hears you, they will laugh at you and scorn you. “You say you are healed. Look at the way you look.” Or, “You say all your needs are met yet you can’t eat twice a day?” Yes, but you are not walking by what you see, you are saying what you have heard about Jesus.

Confession:
Father, I thank You for Your words – they are spirit and life. With my mouth I will speak the Word of faith because I will have what I say. As I speak what I have heard concerning Christ, I translate what You have given me in the invisible realm into the visible realm.
