48 And He said to her, “Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
Luke 8:48
When the power of God is released or is in manifestation, the question it asks is: “What did you release faith for?” Remember the woman said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well” (Mark 5:28). So, faith has direction; and once faith is directed, it takes care of the abnormality. Whenever there is a release of power, there is healing. The healing will go towards the person who has released faith, because faith is a spiritual force.
Faith is a spiritual force which when in operation affects the material or the physical realm. It’s not a physical thing. I have a popular example I often use to describe this concept of faith being a spiritual force and that the spirit behind something is what really matters and gives it potency. Imagine yourself passing through a graveyard, and before this time you’ve heard all kinds of stories about graveyards that made you afraid. Then as you are passing through it, you start quoting Psalm 23 saying, “The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures…Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil…” At this point, you’re running breathlessly in obvious fear. If indeed you are afraid of no evil, then walk through the graveyard boldly and with majesty. So, it’s not just what you say that matters; it’s the spirit behind what you say that matters. It’s not just what you do; it’s the spirit behind what you do. The spirit behind a thing is very important.
Too many believers understand the mechanics of faith, but they don’t grasp the spirit of faith. They chant faith confessions, carry out uninspired actions that look like faith, but deep in their hearts lie fear, doubt and unbelief. When they don’t see results, they begin to doubt the efficacy of faith. Friend, faith is a spiritual force that affects the material or the physical world.
Confession:
Faith gives direction to the power of God. The power of God takes care of every abnormality because faith is a spiritual force that affects the material or physical realm.
