I want to thank God for healing me and bringing me back to life again. Sometime in February 2010, I had a health challenge which started out as a mild cough. I took it casually and did not pay much attention to medication for it. It, however, intensified and I had to stop coming to church and also had to quit my job so that I could get proper medical attention. I still did not consider this cough a serious issue until I began to cough out fresh blood. At this point, it had gotten out of control, I lost a lot of blood through this means and turned pale. I went to the hospital for proper medical attention. The drugs I was given did not stay down, most of the time, I vomited everything after some minutes.
As if that was not enough, I was further diagnosed of having a rupturing kidney. The situation was as bad as it could get and I could not understand why I had this kidney condition since I do not drink or smoke. My doctor asked me to do a urea test and I was again diagnosed of uraemia. I was advised to take lots of water as I had told him that I couldn’t drink water or eat because of the pain I was experiencing. So I put in a conscious effort to drink lots of water as often as I could. I was in severe pains, my legs were heavy and I was almost on all fours when I had to move about. I gradually felt relief and decided to go for another test. This time the result was different.
My urea level which was 32 from the first test result had dropped to 5, which is very normal.
On showing the doctor the result, he told me that it was the drugs I was taking that was dehydrating my kidney. He had earlier told me that with a urea level at 32 the result most times was that it could only get worse.
My testimony is that even in my ignorance, God kept me. God saved me from a situation that may have needed me to spend a lot of money and all I needed was water. It’s amazing that treatment for one ailment can cause another but God miraculously healed me. Indeed, it is only God that heals fully. His medicine does not have any adverse effect and He can use simple things to effect a healing in one’s life.
