17(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
Romans 4:17 (KJV)
The principle in this verse is: calling those things that be not as though they were. You do not the call things that be the way they are. Doing that is magnifying the negative, temporal sickness and disease in the physical realm. You do not say, “I have a persistent fever and it is really trying to kill me.” Am I therefore saying that you should lie? Definitely not! You do not call the things that be as though they are not. That would be a lie. A lie is saying something untrue with the intention of deceiving the hearer. You do not say, “I do not have a fever; my body is not hot; I am not feeling cold,” when you have all these symptoms in your body!
Victory comes by calling things that be not as though they were. That is not magnifying the negative – it is simply ignoring it. That is not lying and deception – it is simply following God’s Word. This is bringing to bear, what you have not seen with your physical eyes. When you feel like that headache is just too much, don’t confess it and speak about it all day long! Don’t say, “This was the same type of headache that killed my father and my father died of it.” Rather get in true Bible believing faith and declare, “Surely He has borne my sicknesses and carried my pains and I am healed by the stripes of Jesus. He sent His Word and healed me and delivered me from destruction. Jesus is my Healer.” That’s what the Word of God says. You’ve told too many people the way the circumstance has said it. Now begin to say it the way the Word of God says it. You have repeated the doctor’s report so many times that you can reel it out by heart. Whose report will you carry in your heart and believe? Believe God’s report and declare it.
Stop saying the circumstance like the circumstance is, because when you do that, you magnify the problem. However, if you say it like the Word of God says it, you minimize the problem and magnify the power and potency of God’s Word.
Confession:
I don’t call the circumstance the way it appears, but the way God says it is. I am healed because God says I am healed.
