15 For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.”
Romans 9:15
We watched a Christian movie sometime ago in my house, in which a doctor said to a couple, “Your son has cancer. He will die. The best thing to do is find some money and take him to the seaside on a holiday.” That was the end. The doctor had reached the end of the road; his back was against the wall. God never reaches the end of the road. God never says “I can’t help you anymore.” The minute God does that, then Jesus has to die again. Thank God, Jesus is alive and He lives forever because what He did, He did once. Christ has redeemed us. It’s been done, settled, and the exchange has taken place. Divine healing is yours already. Don’t beg to be healed, take authority over the situation.
God is good and it is His will for you to be healed always. His healing can show up anytime, even when your faith may not be at its strongest. That’s the sovereignty and compassion of God. He does not need anybody’s permission to heal you. He will visit you as He wills. The gifts of the Spirit go into operation as the Spirit wills (1 Corinthians 12:11). You can come into church one day, and the compassion of God will be present and you will be healed, not because you have the greatest faith or because you know all the verses, but because He wishes above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. The Bible says that, when Jesus saw the multitude, He was moved with compassion towards them and healed them (Matthew 14:14). The mercy or compassion of God is always present, and as He wills, He will reach out and heal you.
Pastor Charles has been an amazing inspiration to me in the area of healing. I remember the first day he held my hand as we ministered on stage by the gifts of the Spirit. As he would call a case out, he would ask me to pray for it. From that day, the gifts of the Spirit, especially the gifts of the word of knowledge and word of wisdom, began to operate in my life. I had always desired to be used by God in this way. He has also inspired me to build my faith and reach out to receive healing in simple faith, with or without the sovereign move of the Spirit of God in manifestation. Thank God for the Doctor Jesus Christ, who never loses a case!
Confession:
God is sovereign and compassionate and He uses His compassion to effect healing because healing is His will.
