CHANGE YOUR THINKING AND SPEAKING

8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Joshua 1:8

If you are tired of the results you have been getting then take a look at what you have been putting in. As the computer scientists would say: “Garbage in, garbage out.”

Get up and change what you have been meditating on, change what you have been thinking about, and change the way you have been talking. If you have probably been talking like somebody who has never heard the Word of God, get rid of unbelief, fear, doubt, and worry. Begin to think before you speak. If you have nothing to say, then don’t say anything until you have built up something within you to say. If it is not the Word of God, then it is not worth talking about.

One of the most challenging things to do when you decide to live by faith is to refrain from voicing negative reports. There was once a kind of symptom that was showed up on my body and I kept quiet about it, and I was dealing with it with the Word of God. Then one evening, I yielded to the pressure of thought bombs. So I said to my husband, “There is this thing showing up again on my body that I have been believing God for…” My usually loving, caring, affectionate husband just looked at me, said nothing and continued what he was doing. He didn’t say, “Let me see, let me touch,” because we would have both started speaking doubt and unbelief. The symptom eventually left me.

When you are in faith, there are times you will need to be quiet. Then after a while, you will move over to the point where you will no longer be quiet and you will have something to say and what you say will line up with what God has to say. The more you say it, the more it will take control of your nerve centre and you will begin to act it, irrespective of who is looking at you or paying attention to you. Then your answer will show up.

Confession:
I change my thinking and speaking to line up with the Word of God. I shut up my mouth about negative reports. I know when to be quiet and I know when to speak the Word of God. The Word of God spoken out of my mouth controls my nerve centre and through it, leads me into victorious actions.
