Be Bold To Plant Your Own Tree

3 He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.

Psalm 1:3

Back to the testimony I started sharing with you yesterday. The lady decided that she had had enough of this “outrageous nonsense.” The picture was so clear now that actions of faith, which looked radical to others but normal to her, became the order of the day for her. She bought her wedding shoes and made a sample of her wedding card and came to show them to me in my office, just the way a bride-to-be would prepare for the big day. Just that there was no groom-to-be in physical sight!

Then each time she purchased our African print material (woodin, wax print etc), she would take it to the tailor, make an outfit for herself and use some of the material to make a matching shirt for her groom-to-be. How did she know his measurements? I can only say it must have been by the gift of the word of knowledge (1 Corinthians 12:8) from her spirit man as her spirit man could see her husband in “living colours,” even though she did not know who he was. I am sure you can guess now that when her husband-to-be eventually showed up, the clothes fit!

Before he showed up though, she threw herself a birthday party and made three cakes: one for the department in our church where she was a leader; one for the house cell group where she was a leader; and the third for her colleagues at work. She announced to them that this would be her last birthday as a spinster and most of them looked at her with pity like she had finally lost her mind. Shortly after, a brother who had been in church for years had the “eyes of his understanding” enlightened and he “saw” her as his virtuous woman, his bride. She became a blessing to him and he, a blessing to her. Today, they are married with two beautiful children – a boy and a girl.

You too can plant your own tree by your actions of faith.

Confession:
I plant my trees of victory by actions that correspond to the picture that the Word has created in my spirit man.
