3 Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body.
James 3:3
17 So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead).
James 2:17 (AMP)
Another way through which you can plant your seeds is through your actions. The things you say control your nerve centre. Since the things you say control your nerve centre, you will eventually begin to act out what you’ve been saying and meditating on. It becomes easy and effortless for you to do this because you have truly seen the picture. Nobody can give you a picture that is contrary to what you have seen. Nobody can sell you a picture of you being poor, sick and diseased, confused and without hope anymore.
Imagine a lady who is terminally ill and has been told by the doctor she has 3 months to live. Before then she has been meditating upon the Word, so she has a picture, and can see herself healed.
Then, she hears that there is an exam she ought to take the following year, but she has to register for it now. Even though the doctor says she’s got 3 months to live, she goes and registers for the exam. That act of registering for the exam is her faith seed towards the picture of her being healed and whole. She decides to do it because she has seen herself healed. While her family may be quietly planning her funeral in hopelessness and despair, she doesn’t think twice about registering for the exam because she knows without a shadow of doubt that she’ll be alive next year.
God honours such faith and such faith yields results.
Confession: The words I speak in line with God’s Word control my nerve centre and it becomes easy and effortless for me to act out the beautiful picture I have seen of myself.
