ACT ON THE WORD OF GOD

8 Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”
9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.

John 5:8-9

The man took up his bed and he walked. The way to enforce divine healing is by doing what you couldn’t do before. Knowing the Word of God is not sufficient, you must act on the Word of God. James 2:17 says that faith without corresponding action is void, being alone. Stop talking about how some minister came to lay hands on you but you were not healed. Stand up and walk. Act on the Word of God. It’s not about relying on some minister; it’s about acting on the Word of God. It’s about putting corresponding action to revelation truth.

A pre-teenager of 12 years got this revelation and that was how he got his healing. In April 2008, he started passing urine very frequently and feeling more tired than usual. His parents took him to the hospital where his blood sugar level was tested. The result was 7.2mmol/l, which was high. His mother is a medical doctor, a consultant pediatrician, but as soon as the results came out she asked him what Scriptures he knew on healing. In the Children’s Church of The Carpenter’s Church (TC Cubs) we teach the children the Word of God in a fun, loving atmosphere ñ but they certainly learn the undiluted Word. The young boy confidently told her the Scriptures and they made a faith confession based on the Scriptures (Matthew 8:17; Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24; John 10:10). They started declaring it daily. Awesome! I have always said that people with medical backgrounds find it difficult to believe God’s Word on healing. This young boy’s mother is an exception. With all her knowledge when the test results came out, her first question to her son was to ask what Scriptures he knew on healing.

After about 2 weeks, the blood sugar level was tested again and it had risen to 7.9mmol/l. At this point, they went to see Pastor Nkechi who prayed with them. She was also led to share the communion with them. As the boy was leaving, she gave him a “health package” in the form of a walkman (a mini tape player) and a tape containing healing scriptures as well as a Kenneth Hagin Healing Devotional book.

Confession:I put corresponding actions to my faith by acting on the Word of God concerning my healing.
