24 By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.
Hebrews 11:24
The grace of God has given every single person an awesome purpose in life. Purpose is a reason for living; it is the ability to become somebody else’s solution; it is the reason why you were created. You can dance around the grace of God and end up going to your grave without ever discovering, entering into, and enjoying the purpose of God for your life. Some of us just live from day to day, from pay cheque to pay cheque, from one job to another.
There is a purpose of God for your life and it is the grace of God that has made that purpose for your life available (2 Timothy 1:9). However, it is by faith that you enter into that purpose. Like Moses, who refused to be called an Egyptian prince, sometimes you will need to give up something that looks more luxurious, in order to enter into God’s purpose for your life. Sometimes it might be a luxurious job; sometimes it might even be a luxurious relationship! I had a promising career in the oilfield in a multinational company and later in the oil service company my husband and I began, and yet I willingly gave all these up to enter into God’s purpose for my life – my call into full time ministry.
One of the best things that you can do for yourself is hunger after the purpose of God for your life. Refuse to just sit in one place or just move from one place to the next. Desire to know what God has called you to do. It could be some- thing that looks small, but remember: the purpose of God is for you to become somebody else’s solution.
When I talk about purpose, I’m not just talking about everybody being called into any of the fivefold ministry offices, or everybody becoming a big businessman of some sort. I am referring to that specific thing God has called you to do. By faith, you need to take a step, sometimes, into what looks like the unknown to accomplish your purpose. The grace of God made that purpose available to you, and grace is the empowerment God has given to you to accomplish it.
Confession:
God’s grace has given me a purpose in life. God’s grace is the empowerment God has given to me to fulfil my purpose.
