I had applied for a pensionable job sometime in 2012. Four months later, I travelled for a vacation. As I arrived at my destination, a friend who was coming back to Nigeria the next day and who had been closely monitoring the progress of the application met me at the airport and informed me that the interview was scheduled to take place the next week and that I should find the next available flight back to Nigeria.

Considering the deadlines I had to meet I knew I needed a miracle. I prayed to get the approval for my leave from my current employers. I did not want to consider the option of returning immediately. Not overlooking the fact that it would cost me a lot and the money would be wasted. So I told him that I would trust God that the interview would be postponed till I returned.

Then I communicated with a close friend and prayer partner who agreed with me in prayer that the interview would be postponed. I also made daily confessions. I waited for more information from the friend I met at the airport because that was the plan, but I got none, thankfully. I concluded that things were working out in my favour.

Two days after I returned to Nigeria, I got an SOS message asking me to pick up my interview letter. An unexpected visit from an external body had caused them to postpone the interview by two weeks.

It was not a coincidence or a mistake! God did it for me! Hallelujah! I got the job!
