9 Receiving the end of your faith — the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 1:9
There are two ways faith bows out of your circumstance. One is negative – which we have considered already, and one is positive.
In the negative sense, faith bows out the minute you begin to consider, analyze, receive and accept what the sense realm tells you. When you begin to analyze the negative report of the economy to know if you can pay your bills, or when you begin to analyze your doctor’s report that calls your case hopeless, to know if you will live, faith bows out because faith cannot operate in the same sphere as your senses. What should you do? Ignore the sense realm and focus on the Word of God.
However in the positive, there is a time when faith bows out. Glory be to God! That is when the manifestation of the thing you have been believing God for, shows up. At this point, faith bows out. Faith is not needed anymore. That is what it means to receive the end of your faith in a matter. This is a glorious bowing out of faith.
If you’ve been trusting God to have a baby, you got pregnant, went through the nine months, and delivered the baby, you still won’t be saying, “I believe I receive a baby,” because you have the baby and you are carrying the baby in your arms. Or if you have been trusting God for a particular employment, and you declare that you believe you receive it, then one day, you get an employment letter and you walk to the company, and it’s true. You don’t need that faith anymore. You are holding something tangible that tells you that you are employed and you’ve signed your contract. So faith bows out of that matter. Hallelujah!
Confession:
My faith does not bow out until the manifestation of what I believe I receive shows up. Till then, I will ignore the sense realm and focus on the Word of God. My faith bows out gloriously when I have what I believe I received.
