THE SUPERFLUITY OF HEALING

26 But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.”
27 And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.”

Matthew 15:26-27

This woman did not give up, and neither should you in your healing journey. When she refused to be intimidated by her lack of qualification because she was not a part of the “house of Israel,” Jesus pointed out to her that it was not right to take the children’s bread and give it to the dogs. She knew what she believed and she had an answer for every thing that came her way. The “bread” referred to is healing.

Healing is the children’s food not for dogs. Dogs are symbolic of the strangers, Gentiles, and unbelievers. This woman who was not even an Israelite knew that the statement Jesus just made about the children and about the food belonging to the children was true. She didn’t dispute that. Yet she knew that the dogs could have crumbs that fall from the masters’ table. Who are the masters? The children are the masters. You, the believer, the child of God, are the master. The table is set before the children as a right and the dogs eat the crumbs that fall.

There is a profound lesson to be learnt here. Have you ever seen a poor man eating and leaving crumbs? No, he doesn’t! He will gather everything and lick his plate and hands to make sure no crumbs fall. Only rich people, with more than enough to eat, leave crumbs. If healing were to be quantified, it means the children have more than enough. God is saying you have healing in a superfluous measure. You’ve got to understand that you’ve got healing, and if the healing you have were to be measured, it is in superfluous dimensions and proportions! It is very disheartening to see believers desperately “struggling” for healing as though they were unbelievers and healing was about to “run out” and finish before it got to them. There is more than enough healing for you and you should be the one feeding the lost with the healing power of God.

Confession:
I have healing in a superfluous measure. There is more than enough healing for me. I administer the healing power of God to the lost.
