16 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.
Romans 4:16
Everything that the grace of God has made available to you is sure. Something is sure when it is true beyond any doubt, able to be relied upon or trusted in. If you say, “I am not sure I can attain this height in my career because I am a woman,” then it is not by faith. If you say, “I am not sure I can be awarded this contract because I didn’t go to a higher institution,” then it is not by faith. If you say, “I am not sure I can attain success in ministry because I’m in the wrong part of the country,” then it is not by faith.
If the actualization of any promise of God seems to be shaky and uncertain in your life, it’s your faith that is shaky and uncertain. If you can get your faith solid, the promise of God is solid. Let the winds come, the promise is sure. Let the storms come, the promise is sure. Let the opposition come, the promise is sure. It is as sure as your faith and as long as your faith is sure, the promise is sure.
The promise of God in every area of your life is sure to you. What makes it sure? It is your faith that makes it sure. The promise of God to you is not sure to you because of where you come from, the amount of money your father has, your educational qualification, your skills, who you know, or any other thing.
What promises of God are you holding on to? What areas of the grace of God do you want to experience and access? Those areas are as sure as your faith.
Confession:
Thank You, Father, because Your promises are sure to me. I receive Your promises that are sure to me through faith.
