6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

John 3:6

The lie of generational curses and generational influences upon a born again child of God, is a “blame lie” for the state in which people find themselves at birth. This lie tells you that you are the way you are because your grandfather did something or because it’s in the lineage of your family. May I ask which family? Your natural family or the Family of God?

Friend, if you got born again and your father was a wicked native doctor, it doesn’t affect you. You are a new creation and you belong to a new family. A child does not bear the guilt of the father and the father does not bear the guilt of the child (Ezekiel 18:20). If in ten generations before you there was wickedness, it’s upon them and not you, except you follow in their ways.

You must realize that you are the way you are because that is the way you have chosen to be. You may have made the choice in ignorance or negligence but it is still a choice; and if it is a choice, then you can change it by making a different choice. Making a decision to change your lineage can stop any generational influence. Influences of behavioural patterns, hereditary diseases do not have to be your portion. You can break free by becoming born again. Even after you are born again, you need to know, that you know, without a shadow of doubt, that you are different now. You need to make a choice to yield only to the influences from your heavenly Father. Jesus said that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. That means the flesh has limitations. Anyone who remains in the realm of the flesh will be bound by those limitations. There is a time to experience the new birth; there is a time to get into the spirit realm; there is a time to get into the supernatural and begin to operate in the realm where there are no limitations. The new birth is the way to change the lineage of your family and generation.

Through the new birth, I have changed my lineage and generation. I am different now. I choose to yield only to the influences that come from God my Father.
