5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5
When we were alienated from God, we were vulnerable to the enemy. We got certain wounds and bruises but through the blood, we have been brought back together. As long as someone is without Christ, they are broken, but when they get under the blood and back together with the Shepherd, He mends them, and makes them whole. There is no wound, no pain, to prove that you were ever alienated. This is why “peace” means nothing missing, nothing broken. You can stand and say, “By the stripes of Jesus, I have been made whole. I’ve got nothing missing, and nothing broken in my body. I’ve got nothing missing, and nothing broken in my life. I’ve got nothing missing and nothing broken all around me.” If any circumstance is trying to tell you otherwise, remind that circumstance that Jesus went to heaven carrying His blood. That blood brought about your peace and reconciled you to Him, to bring all the stray pieces back together again.
Your physical blood performs the function called coagulation. Under normal circumstances, when you cut yourself, your physical blood has all the things necessary to bring everything back together. It pulls the skin back, forms a scab and after some time, the scab peels off, and your skin is back and whole again. This process began when your blood coagulated and you stopped bleeding. It brought everything back together. That is what the blood of Jesus Christ wants to do for everyone who will come under it. He wants to coagulate you, and bring you back together with God.
The Book of Ephesians says we are seated together with Christ in the heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). Which demon, sickness, or disease, has the authority to come to you, seated together in the heavenly places with Christ? Peace means we are seated together. That is why Christ carried His precious blood into the Holy Place. That is what the blood has achieved for you.
Confession:
Through the blood of Christ I have peace. There is nothing missing and nothing broken because Jesus has brought all the stray pieces back together again.
