1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
1 John 3:1-2
If you are born again, you are a son of God. In Christ, there is neither male nor female (Galatians 3:28). There are no male or female spirits; we are all sons of God.
You say, “Well, I don’t feel like a son of God.” It’s really irrelevant how you feel; if you are a new creation in Christ Jesus, then you are a son of God. It also says that the world doesn’t know you because they didn’t know Him. As a new creation, the unbeliever will not understand you. The unbeliever will not understand the way you live, the way you speak and the changes that have occurred in your life. You don’t need to worry, you are in good company; they didn’t understand Jesus either. They may judge you by your size, your clothes, your name, or your education, but you should know that you are a son of the Most High God. The son of the world’s richest man, or the son of the president of any of the world’s greatest nations, is not likely to be intimidated easily. Neither should you be. Lift up your head and square your shoulders; you are a son of God.
As sons, we have been qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:12). An heir is an inheritor to an estate. If a father has children, his children are the heirs to his estate. As a child of God you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ (Galatians 4:7). The Scripture is careful to say that you are no longer a slave because a slave cannot be an heir.
Confession:I am a son of God. As a son of God I have been qualified to partake of my Father’s inheritance given to me in Christ Jesus.
