7 [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is.
8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 (AMP)
The tree just described remains green because it retains its fruit bearing ability all year round, whether there’s heat or drought; whether the season is good or bad, it remains green. As long as it remains green there is always the possibility of fruit coming out. The leaf stays green because the fruit bearing ability is not touched.
Today, there might not be a fruit in your life but because you are evergreen, tomorrow, that will change.
You may have been trusting God for something, but your expectation is not matching the season you find yourself in. You have become quite anxious in drought. Remember that through meditation the tree that you saw was an evergreen tree. It was a tree whose leaves remained green always. That means, tomorrow, the situation can change. If you are trusting God for the fruit of the womb, tomorrow you may miss your period and discover you are pregnant. If you believe God for a breakthrough in your business, tomorrow, that contract could walk in through your door.
It can happen any day, so you are relaxed; and you’re not anxious; neither does the drought bother you because your permanent productivity is guaranteed.
Confession:
In the season of drought I do not become anxious. I am evergreen and ever ready to bring forth fruit.
