I have had a series of challenges but my major challenge was finance. In all the trials I went through, I held on to the Word of God. I kept my confessions high because I know that God is my provider and total supply. My financial challenges got to the point where I couldn’t pay for my accommodation, my feeding also became an issue. Physically, everything around me looked hopeless, but I kept my focus on God.
I continued thanking God for all that I was expecting and I sowed different kinds of seeds toward my financial increase. I increased my tithe from ten percent to twenty percent and I kept thanking God for the pleasant experience I was going to have in every area of my life, especially in my finances. By the end of that year, I noticed that whenever I thanked God for my expectations, I would hear a voice telling me to stop deceiving myself because the year was almost over and that I should just believe for the coming year but I always ignored it. At a point, I had to talk to a friend in church who encouraged me and asked me to keep making my confessions.
Precisely on the 24th of December that year, a job I had been pursuing with a friend was approved and the money was paid in cash. We started working on the job on the 25th and the 26th. In the course of doing the job, I went to see one of the persons I worked with. I went to his shop to see him. When I got there, I was told he was not around but I decided to wait for him. While waiting, a woman who needed someone to make curtains for her new house urgently came around. I met with her and we agreed, and I did that job.
On the 29th, while I was in the woman’s house fixing her curtains, a call came from one of my friends asking me questions about Mile 1 market. After we talked, we agreed to meet the next day. Before now, I had wanted to use the connections I had to see if I could secure a shop at the new Mile 1 Market but it never worked out. In fact, I was advised to “keep my eyes off there, that it was impossible to get a shop there because of a lot of factors that were involved”. I discussed with this friend who called me, about renting one of her shops because she had acquired two shops there.
On the morning of 30th, this friend called me to come over to her house. When I got there, she told me that through her connection, she was given two more shops in the market but that she decided to let me acquire one of the shops instead of renting from her. In fact, initially I thought it was a joke. “It sounded too good to be true”. The next thing that came to my mind was the cost. I felt it would be a huge sum, but the amount involved turned out to be what I could afford without difficulty. I was allowed to pay in two installments. I was to pay half of the total amount first and complete the balance after three months. The entry was to end on the 31st of December.
On the morning of 31st, I took the money and two passport photographs to use in processing the payment at the state secretariat.
Indeed, God has been good to me. When it looked like all hope was lost, God came through in a way I never imagined. No time is too late for God to manifest and it doesn’t take Him anything to bring things in our lives to pass.
Our Father, Jehovah, indeed, is a too much God. He does exceedingly, abundantly, above, all we ask or imagine.
God’s Word works and it is real.
