I woke up on a Thursday morning in September with a burden on my soul to fast and pray. I had not done so in a long time, so I embarked on it with a feeling that my life needed special prayers and prepared my prayer points.
I could not pray the points I had written down because as much as I tried and wanted to, I had no control over my tongue. I could not stop myself from speaking in tongues at an alarming flow. Then I remembered Pastor saying, “It is better to pray in tongues, because we would be settling things we do not know of, in the spiritual realm.” Therefore, I relaxed and continued praying, believing that whatever the case may be, God had done it.
Barely thirty minutes after my prayers, my mother called my phone to inform me that my younger brother had had a ruptured hernia at work, and was taken to a hospital for surgery. She further went on to say that the operation was successful.
That was when it dawned on me and I understood that while I was praying in tongues, God was taking care of my brother’s situation. I thank God for victory and for the Word we hear in The Carpenter’s Church through our seasoned ministers. Praise God!
