God saved my life from armed robbers. One Thursday I went to see a client and on my arrival at the company gate, as I alighted from the cab and asked the driver to park properly, I heard gun shots. Unknown to us, the car in front of us was being trailed by robbers. Being a narrow road, the taxi stopped right in the middle of the road so I could come down. The robbers, whose car was some metres behind their target, saw it as an opportunity to act fast since the targeted car couldn’t pass until my taxi parked properly. As they opened fire on their target, I ran to my client’s company gate and stood by a mobile policeman who was close to the pedestrian gate. Both of us began to bang on the gate. Of course the security men in the security booth had all run into the compound and shut the gate.
The robbers, sighting the Police Officer with his gun by his side, opened fire on us: I mean they shot directly at us with the intention of killing the officer and scaring every other person. I don’t know how God did it because bullets were flying everywhere. A bullet went past my shoulder and hit the wall just before the gate was miraculously opened for us but the bullets couldn’t be faster than the saving grace of God.
After the incident, one of the security men said he did not know what pushed him to come back and open the gate for us in the midst of all the shooting. But I know it was God who made him do that because the previous Sunday, God, through Pastor Nkechi Ene had prophesied that He is our deliverer. God saw that Thursday afternoon right from Sunday morning. I give Him praise.
