When 2012 was tagged “Our Year of Profit,” my spirit began to indict me that since I became a member of The Carpenter’s Church, I had never taken the yearly themes seriously. I only view them as clichés and carry on with my life. So when the pastors kept warning against doing that, I repented and began to consciously expect profit. Yet somehow throughout the year, profit never came. Even my husband’s company did not make profit, nor get a new contract. In December that year, Pastor Nkechi spoke about last minute miracles. In addition, God suddenly gave me a word in Psalm 65:11 (NLT) which says, “You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance.” I quickly called my husband and shared it with him. So we started confessing and claiming that promise from that day till the last day of 2012.
On 30th of December when my husband and I visited my parents in Owerri, my father gave us a gift of seven plots of land, free of charge and in a choice area of the town. The land was so big that we wondered what to do with it. We were just amazed at God and His Word. When Pastor Nkechi later prophesied that as The Carpenter’s Church is acquiring land, church members will also be acquiring land as well, I just smiled because I was a witness. Praise God!
